Gorran Haven

Gorran Haven, located on the SW coastal path, is a small village with a sheltered and sandy beach with a beautiful quay. It offers a delicious fish and chip shop, boutique restaurant and a beachside cafe and beach shop, all within walking distance of the chalet. Cakebreads shop and bakery offers freshly baked croissants and pastries every morning, plus you can pick up your paper and other holiday essentials here. It has a cafe attached, which does great cooked breakfasts too. In the Summer it offers outdoor entertainment with local live bands plus pizza nights.

There is also a great pub, recently listed in the Michelin guide for its amazing food, the Barley Sheaf in nearby Gorran Churchtown.

If you do feel the need to leave the village, there is The Lost Gardens of Heligan just 15 minutes drive away and The Eden Project is 30 minutes away.

From Gorran Haven you can walk to the beaches of Vault, Hemmick and Caerhayes. Caerhayes beach has a great cafe with evening bands and freshly cooked food in the Summer.

You can walk in the other direction to the fishing village of Mevagissey or drive - about 10 minutes. Here you will find a great selection of restaurants, cafes and a beautiful harbour.

Further afield is the Roseland Peninsula with its huge expanses of beaches and quaint little villages.
